Dr. Carl Williams, Ph.D., LCADC

Executive Director

Dr. Williams has over thirty years experience in the addictions field working with diverse populations in various treatment modalities. He has served on several boards and committees throughout the State of New Jersey as well as Counselor Certification Boards in both New Jersey and Connecticut.

He is passionate about working with persons suffering from substance use disorders and has taught and lectured at several colleges, mentoring many aspiring counselors and professionals.

Dr. Williams secured his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Union Institute and University, Cincinnati Ohio, and his Master’s Degree in Human Services from Lincoln University, Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He enjoys sports, empowering others and teaching.

Benjamin Novaky

Counselor Intern

Ben is himself a recovering addict and has 5 years clean and sober.  The recovery process showed Ben that life has a greater purpose for him in assisting other chemically addicted persons through the treatment process.

He has almost 4 years of experience working with both adults and adolescents plagued by the disease of addiction and brings a new perspective and unique experience to the ATSI table, amplifying client motivation and treatment.

Ben has currently completed coursework and supervision toward his CADC and plans on furthering his education to eventually obtain a masters degree.

David Chalkley

Director of Admissions

David is a pertinent part of the ATSI Admissions Team. With 23 years of experience in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment field.

David provides a compassionate approach in guiding each and every client that he speaks to, helping to guide them onto the path of personal long-term recovery.

David’s experience in Treatment Facility Admissions, Utilization Review and Medical Billing allows him the ability to guide and explain the admissions process for potential clients. Allowing them to make the appropriate decisions that best meet their needs, for their personal journey on the road to recovery.

David’s hobbies when not helping those seeking help for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders are being very active in 12 step recovery, personal health, jogging 20 miles a week and competing in both 5K & 10K races for charity on weekends.

Robyn Wood, MSW, LCADC

Clinical Director

Ms. Robyn Wood has worked in the field of Substance abuse treatment services for 17 years. Her passion is to assist individuals recovering from Substance abuse, reunite with their families. Ms. Wood daily Mantra: Is that a Life of Service motivating and helping others, achieve their goals, is a well-lived life.

Ms. Wood has worked in every level of substance use treatment care services.  She worked extensively with Drug court, Probation, Family court and the private sector, providing clinical assessments and level of care treatment placement recommendations.

She earned her Masters of Social Work Degree at Rutgers-NJ, her BSW @ Stockton university- NJ.  She is DCA/LCADC State Licensed.  She is SIFI Certified: To provide Field Supervision and Instructor Training to Social work/ college students seeking degrees. She is a NASW-NJ Member.  She enjoys the Arts, Jazz and sports.

Teresa DiBenedetto

Counselor Intern

Teresa is a recent addition to the ATSI team.  She is a recovering addict with 5 years clean and sober. Her experiences help her identify with anyone overcoming the disease of addiction.

During her recovery process, her passion grew to help others like herself find a better way of life.  She is very active in 12 Step Recovery and sponsors others along their journey.

She is currently enrolled in coursework to obtain her CADC, and continuing her education working towards her Masters in Counseling at Kean/Ocean.

Amanda Wagner

Case Manager

Amanda has been working in the medical and recovery field since 2015. She first started off as a Patient Service Representative at the University of Penn then pursued further professional growth at Harbor Villiage Detox in Miami. She found her passion was in working with recovering addicts. Being in recovery herself, she is able to identify with and have compassion for others on their journey of recovery. When welcomed into fold at ATSI, she knew this is what she was meant to do…… help others like her who suffer from the disease of addiction and choose a better way of living.

With goals to furthering my education, I would like to continue my career into become an addiction counselor. I truly believe any alcoholic or addict seeking recovery can find a better way to live. I would like to dedicate my professional and personal life to guiding addicts in the right to direction which has been so freely given to myself.

Adiba Saleem

Clinical Coordinator

Adiba Saleem was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey.  As the daughter of a recovering addict, Adiba has started her informal education on substance use at an early age.  Adiba received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Delaware State University.  She also received her Master’s degree in  Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University.  Ms. Saleem was featured in Rutgers Alumni Magazine Partnering Change in Fall 2019.

Adiba is the Clinical Coordinator at ATSI as she oversees coordination of clinical treatment.  In addition to life experience, Adiba brings 10 years combined experience in mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Adiba enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and writing spoken word poetry in her leisure time.

Dawn Moore

Office Manager

Dawn joined the Addiction Treatment Services International team in December 2013. Her primary background is in finance and management, having started in banking and then moving into the Casino industry, rising to the position of Casino Cage Shift Manager. Her responsibilities included all aspects the Casino Cage, Slot Cage, and Pit Clerk departments.

Her position at ATSI started with some office duties, and then evolved into much more.  As she had no prior experience in the medical or addictions treatment field, this has been a positive learning and very enlightening experience. Dawn enjoys being a member of the ATSI team and assisting other team members to ultimately benefit each and every client.

Joanne Reedeer, CBCS, CEHRS

Billing Clerk

Joanne joined ASTI with over twenty years experience working in the addiction field in billing, finance and accounting.  Joanne started out, as a Patient Accounts Representative then moved on to become a Financial Accounts Manager and ultimately an Acting Controller.

As Billing Clerk, Joanne feels it’s extremely rewarding to be part of ATSI’s commitment to helping those in need succeed in overcoming their addictions.

She is a Certified Billing Coding Specialist and a Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist.  She is also a member of The National Technical Honor Society who enjoys motorcycles, music, reading and spending time with family.
