Dr. Carl Williams

Executive Director

Dr. Williams has over thirty years experience in the addictions field working with diverse populations in various treatment modalities. He has served on several boards and committees throughout the State of New Jersey as well as Counselor Certification Boards in both New Jersey and Connecticut.

He is passionate about working with persons suffering from substance use disorders and has taught and lectured at several colleges, mentoring many aspiring counselors and professionals.

Dr. Williams secured his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Union Institute and University, Cincinnati Ohio, and his Master’s Degree in Human Services from Lincoln University, Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He enjoys sports, empowering others and teaching.

Dr. Broderick Harper

Clinical Director

Dr. Harper is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor who has consistently demonstrated a passion for educating meeting patient needs, and leadership. Clients benefit from his 20 plus years of experience providing professional assistance regarding addiction treatment programs and Human Services.

In addition, Dr. Harper has achieved a Doctorate Degree in Education and is currently an Ethics Professor with more than five years of experience teaching Master’s level courses for the Human Services Program.

Dr. Harper has been consistently known for cultivating a comprehensive clinical learning environment and making a positive impact on patients, their families, clinical staff, and the treatment organizations as a whole.

Avery Keller

Primary Therapist

Ms. Keller currently conducts individual, group, and family sessions. She earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from La Salle University and earned her bachelors in Psychology from East Carolina University.

She is currently working toward completing the requirements for licensure as both an LCADC and LMFT.

Ms. Avery chose to enter the addictions treatment field due to the empathy and compassion she feels for others. She brings her expertise in Structural Family Systems to the treatment team at ATSI and is compassionate about working with family systems and individual clients.

John Griffith

Counselor Intern

Mr. Griffin has been a Counselor Intern since March 2017, and is currently completing his CADC. He is a National Honor Society graduate from Stockton University holding a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. He is particularly skilled at encouraging those seeking help with substance abuse discover new paths and ways of life through sharing his experience and connecting those in need with others willing to help.

Virginia Ashley

Case Manager

Ms. Ashley provides one on one comprehensive case management services to clients and their families. She is a native of Atlantic County and received a Bachelor of Science from Stockton University where she studied Speech Pathology, Sociology, and Education. She has worked in the mental health and addictions field since 2013 and has developed a strong devotion to assisting clients and their families in accomplishing their goals through empowerment.
